Leonard Lowell was born on July 1st, 1906 in Grandview, Johnson Co., Texas.1 Leonard Lowell's father was John 'Henry' Basham and his mother was Sarah Bell Winter. His paternal grandparents were Beuford B. Basham and Mary Jane Hall; his maternal grandparents were William Baker Winter and Amanda Leuella Long. He had two brothers and two sisters, named William Beuford ('B'), Henry 'Weldon', Thelma Mary and Estelle. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 79 on September 5th, 1985 in Ft Worth, Tarrant Co., Texas.1 General Notes
