Laura Basham 
Laura was born on October 24th, 1898 in Floyd Co., Virginia.1 Laura's father was John Ellis Basham and her mother was Ellen Richards. Her paternal grandparents were Hillory H. Basham and Sarah Ridinger; her maternal grandparents are John Richards and Martha Harris. She had nine brothers and four sisters, named Nathan H., Brainard Hayden, George Kyle, Archie Leonard, Robert Letcher, John Taswell, Doc Roscoe (Peach), Harless, William Hubert, Carrrie, Leona Belle, Florence Elyna and Allie S.. She was the second youngest of the fourteen children. She died after 1900.1 General Notes
