John W. Basham 
John W. was born about May 1840 in Virginia.1 John W.'s father was Anderson Basham and his mother was Frances Perry. He had four brothers and four sisters, named James P., Warren, Robert B., William, Mary Elizabeth, Ann E., Amanda and Adeline. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.
