John Owen was born on June 2nd, 1892 in Mayfield, Graves Co., Kentucky.1 John Owen's father was Thurston Basham and his mother is Annie J. Collard. He had a sister named Nannie. John Owen and Lucille were married in a religious ceremony about 1912 in Kentucky.1 They had four sons and five daughters, named John Owen, Jr., Living, Living, Living, Mildred Anna, Dorothy May, Nellie, Living and Living.
