John Moody Basham 
John Moody was born on February 21st, 1889 in San Lucas, Monterey Co., Calif.1 John Moody's father was John Pickens Basham and his mother was Mary Jane Brown. His paternal grandparents were James Madison Basham and Mary Ann Johnston; his maternal grandparents are Robert S. Brown and Susan Adair. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Franklin M., Thomas Arthur, William Edmond, Robert Matthew, Virginia Mae (Virga) and Susan Marguerite (Susie). He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 61 on April 27th, 1950 in Placerville, El Dorado Co., Calif.1 General Notes
