James Preston was born on June 1st, 1909 in Irontown, Ohio.1 James Preston's father was Andrew Woodson Basham and his mother is Mary Frances Morgan. His paternal grandparents were James Preston Basham and Mary Eliz (Jennie) Hornsby. He was an only child. He died at the age of 59 in 1968 in Stockton, California.1 General Notes
