James Monroe Basham 
James Monroe was born on March 15th, 1898 in Mountainburg, Crawford Co., Ark.1 James Monroe's father was Monroe Moses Basham and his mother was Martha Jane Williams. His paternal grandparents were William Bassham and Margaret (Peggy) Unknown. He had five brothers and four sisters, named L. (M), Nathaniel T., Oliver Kenny, Walter Moses, William Thomas, Cora, Lula Beatrice, Pearl L. and Ora M.. He was the second youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 69 on December 25th, 1967 in Dean Springs, Crawford Co., Ark.1 -
