James Cosby was born on January 16th, 1913 in Hancock Co., Kentucky.1 James Cosby's father was Georgie Buell (William) Basham and his mother was Mamie Cahal. His paternal grandparents were Christopher Columbus Basham and Susan B Tinnell. He had two brothers and a sister, named George Lee, Living and Living.
