James Basham 
James was born about 1872 in Fannin Co., Texas.1 James' father was Johnson Basham and his mother was Malvina Carpenter. His paternal grandparents were William Basham and Sarah Unknown. He had two brothers named Luther S. and Zeph. He was the oldest of the three children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Francis Marion (Frank), William, Mary E., Minerva Jane and Martha M.. He died after 1880.1 General Notes
