Horace Benjamin was born on May 1st, 1925.1 Horace Benjamin's father was Robert Winston Basham and his mother is Zadie Lorean Nix. His paternal grandparents were Henry M. Basham and Ida Lou Bell. He had three brothers and eight sisters, named Charlie Thomas, Charles Hubert, Living, Arling Lee, Living, Living, Living, Living, Living, Living and Living.
