Harry Edward was born on July 25th, 1892 in Bellville, Republic Co., Kansas.1 Harry Edward's father was William Edward Basham and his mother was Cora Bell Powers. His paternal grandparents were Nathan Basham and Anna Miller; his maternal grandfather was Alonzo Powers and his maternal grandmother is Mary Nelson. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Alton Wesley (Pat), Floyd Mason (Dutch), Richard Alvin (Dick), Clyde Clelles (Slim), William Alonzo (Bill), Ralph Nathan (Red), Harold 'Lester' and Mary Valentine. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 87 on May 4th, 1980 in Libby, Lincoln Co., Montana.1 General Notes
