Guy English was born on October 21st, 1905 in Knobb, Shasta Co., California.1 Guy English's father was William Everett Basham and his mother was Bessie Jane Argabright. His paternal grandparents were Hayden Anderson Basham and Isabell Alice Parsons. He had two brothers named Garlyn Argabright and Harold Everett. He was the oldest of the three children.
