George T. Basham 
George T. was born about 1849 in Floyd Co., Virginia.1 George T.'s father was John Floyd Basham and his mother was Margaret Basham. His paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Basham and Elender (Ellen) Ross; his maternal grandparents were John, Jr. Basham and Frances (Franky) Meadors. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Nathan, James W., John Robert, Martha A., Elizabeth Frances and Ellen. He was the youngest of the seven children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Fleming T., Sarah C. and Annie M.. He died on January 9th, 1926 in Basham, Floyd Co., Virginia.1 General Notes
