Eva M. was born about 1900 in Texas.1 Eva M.'s father was Richard D. Basham and his mother was Mattie M. Unknown. His paternal grandparents were Harry Reed (Harvey) Basham and Sarah Belue. He had five brothers and a sister, named Lorna A., John Belvin, Richard D., Jr., William Delpha, Clyde E. and Daisy E.. He was the third oldest of the seven children.
