Ellar Vier was born on May 12th, 1898 in Grayson Co., Kentucky.1 Ellar Vier's father was John Riley Basham and her mother was Annie Lee Pullen. Her paternal grandparents were William A. (Rev) Basham and Lutisha Tucker. She had two brothers and three sisters, named William 'Adin', Havey Arnold, Pearl Marie, Hazel Mae and Leatha May. She was the oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 77 on May 14th, 1975 in Elizabethtown, Hardin Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
