Edgar Allen was born on December 7th, 1898 in Stephensport, Breckenridge Co., Ky.1 Edgar Allen's father was William Henry Basham and his mother was Lula (Loulie) Adkins. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Allen Basham and Sarah Frances Dowell. He had three brothers named Jessie Lee, James Russel and Percy (Twin). He was the second oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 58 on May 2nd, 1957 in Jacksonville, Morgan Co., Illinois.1 General Notes
