Celia Dowell Basham 
Celia Dowell was born on February 28th, 1848 in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.1 Celia Dowell's father was Henry Dowell Basham and her mother was Cassandra Hardin. Her paternal grandparents were Obediah Basham and Celia Dowell; her maternal grandparents were Daniel Hardin and Alice (Alsey) Jolly. She had eight brothers and four sisters, named Thomas Washington, Francis Logan, Daniel Hardin, James Allen, Henry Nelson, Obediah Peyton, Joel Hardin, Madison, Alice Jolly, Martha Ann (Mattie), Mary and Louisa Ellen. She was the fifth youngest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 76 on October 30th, 1924 in Leitchfield, Grayson Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
