Calvin was born on November 8th, 1925 in Matoaka, Mercer Co., West Virginia.1 Calvin's father was Arley Lewis Basham and his mother was Leola Maude Shrewsbury. His paternal grandparents were Anderson Basham and Naomi Frances Crews; his maternal grandparents are George Washington, Jr. Shrewsbury and Lucinda Meadows. He had four sisters named Naomi Pauline, Thelma Irene, Living and Living. He died at the age of 63 on July 22nd, 1989 in Roanoke, Indep Co., Virginia. rsion to Morm onism. Their grave marker is joint--his with a Bible and he
rs with the Bo ok of Mormon.
