Burt Columbus Basham 
Burt Columbus was born about October 1881 in Texas.1 Burt Columbus' father was William Riley Basham and his mother was Nancy Virginia Smith. His paternal grandparents were Solomon Basham and Elizabeth Coffey Marler; his maternal grandfather is John Peter Smith. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Thomas Riley, John Peter, Charles B. (Charlie), Saphronia Frances, Elizabeth Florence (Bets, Eva Edna, Gracy, Snow and Jessie Esther. He had nine half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Oliver, Eli Williamson, Aida, William Riley, Jr., Dewey Yeager, Cloyd Sutton, Ross, Vernon Luther, Oddie, Mary Eva, Jewel Exettie, Living, Sara Alice and Mary.
