Blumer Hardin was born on July 20th, 1885 in Indiana.1 Blumer Hardin's father was Clarence W. Basham and his mother was Sarah Lucretia Kellems. His paternal grandparents were Daniel Hardin Basham and Missouri Jane Shaw; his maternal grandparents were George Washington Kellems and Nancy Ann Alvey. He had six brothers and a sister, named Dora, Zoa, Pearl, Daniel Estil, Carrie, Archie and Mary. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 82 on March 8th, 1968 in Tell City, Perry Co., Indiana.1 General Notes
