Billy Alvin was born on December 5th, 1933 in Libby, Lincoln Co., Montana.1 Billy Alvin's father was William Alonzo (Bill) Basham and his mother was Alice Harriet Van dyke. His paternal grandparents were William Edward Basham and Cora Bell Powers. He had four brothers and a sister, named Winnona Louise, Living, Living, Living and Cleo Dianne.
