Bessie May Basham 
Bessie May was born on September 2nd, 1892 in Kingston, Madison Co., Arkansas.1 Bessie May's father was John Finley Bassham and her mother was Mary Taylor. Her paternal grandparents were Eli H. (Neil) Bassham and Mariah Finley. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Thomas E., Franklin, Bertha, Denver Finley, Charles Taylor, William Allen, Arizona, Effie, Josephine and Grace E.. She was the second youngest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 89 on March 29th, 1982 in Bixby, Tulsa Co., Oklahoma.1 General Notes
