Bertram Buren was born on June 30th, 1906 in Ward, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.1 Bertram Buren's father was Isaac Snow (Ike) Basham and his mother was Sadie Mae Saunders. His paternal grandparents were Nathan (Rev) Basham and Missouri Jane Miller. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named Cecil Missouri, Nathan, Andrew Jackson, Harry William, Ewell Clarence, Louise, Byford Gibbons (Bob), Ishmael Snow, Robert E., Mayme Beatrice and Living. He died at the age of 69 on September 17th, 1975 in Vista, San Diego Co., California.1 General Notes
