Bertha Basham 
Bertha was born on December 6th, 1884 in Kingston, Madison Co., Arkansas.1 Bertha's father was John Finley Bassham and his mother was Mary Taylor. His paternal grandparents were Eli H. (Neil) Bassham and Mariah Finley. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Thomas E., Franklin, Denver Finley, Charles Taylor, William Allen, Arizona, Effie, Josephine, Grace E. and Bessie May. He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 2 on July 10th, 1887.1 General Notes
