Allen Alfred was born on January 17th, 1911 in Warren Co., Tennessee.1 Allen Alfred's father was Marshall James Basham and his mother was Clara C Duke. His paternal grandparents were James H. (Big Jimmy) Basham and Bettie Wilson. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Vernon A., Living, Living, Willie Mae, Betty Irene, Juanita Ruth and Living.
