Alice (Alsey) Jolly was born on October 8th, 1834 in Union Star, Breckenridge Co., Ky.1 Alice (Alsey) Jolly's father was Francis (Frank) Basham and her mother was Thursia HARDIN. Her paternal grandparents were Obediah Basham and Celia Dowell; her maternal grandparents were Daniel Hardin and Alice (Alsey) Jolly. She had eight brothers and a sister, named Daniel Hardin, Henry Washington, Celia Dowell, Joel Hardin, Richard B., Sarah Abigail, Francis Marion, Jacob D. and Cassandra Hardin. She was the fourth oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 79 on June 10th, 1914 in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
