William Benton Barrett 
William Benton was born on September 21st, 1852.1 William Benton's father is David Barrett and his mother was Lydia Ann DeSpain. His maternal grandparents were Hiram DeSpain and Nancy Ann Underwood. He has seven brothers and six sisters, named Washington, James M., John, Hiram Lafayette, Jefferson Calvin, David, Green, Lydia, Melsina, Caroline, Nancy Jane, Sarah and Ann.
