Mary Ethel Barr 
Mary Ethel was born on May 7th, 1909 in Browns Valley, Kentucky.1 Mary Ethel's father was George Roland, Jr. Barr and her mother was Ellen McDellan Knott. Her paternal grandparents are George Roland, Sr. Barr and Martha Hayden; her maternal grandparents were Frederick Martin Knott and Sarah Jane (Jennie) Payne. She had seven brothers and five sisters, named Joseph Martin Barr, William Garrett, Sr., George Roland III, Martin Raphael, Robert Aloysius, Charles Hilary, Denis Anthony, Genevieve, Martha Imogene, Mary Alma, Virginia "Jennie Mae" Mary and Theresa Margaret. She was the sixth youngest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 85 on November 18th, 1994 in Owensboro, Daviess Co., Kentucky. She was buried in St. Anthony's Catholic Cem., Browns Valley, Daviess Co., Kentucky.1 1 General Notes
