Martin Raphael Barr 
Martin Raphael was born on January 30th, 1906 in Owensboro, Daviess Co., Kentucky.1 Martin Raphael's father was George Roland, Jr. Barr and his mother was Ellen McDellan Knott. His paternal grandparents are George Roland, Sr. Barr and Martha Hayden; his maternal grandparents were Frederick Martin Knott and Sarah Jane (Jennie) Payne. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Joseph Martin Barr, William Garrett, Sr., George Roland III, Robert Aloysius, Charles Hilary, Denis Anthony, Genevieve, Martha Imogene, Mary Ethel, Mary Alma, Virginia "Jennie Mae" Mary and Theresa Margaret. He was the sixth oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 69 on January 29th, 1976 in Stanley, Kentucky. He was buried in St. Peter's Catholic Cem. Stanley, Kentucky.1 1 General Notes
