H arrived at Plymouth in 1623 in the Ann. He was made a freeman 163
3, a nd removed to Eastham in 1644 with the planters of that town, whe
re he ser ved as a Grand-Jouryman, ovewrseer of the Board. He was a Depu
ty to the C olony Court for four or five years. The first vessel bui
lt in Plymoutn w as a barque of 40 or 50 tons, and Edward Bangs had char
ge of the construct ion.
They had three sons and six daughters, named John, Jonathan, Joshua, Bethia, Apphia, Mercy, Hannah, Lydia and Rebecca.
