John Hays Allston 
John Hays was born on January 30th, 1786 in Darlington District, South Carolina.1 John Hays' father is Peter Allston and his mother was Mary Bacot. His maternal grandparents were Samuel Bacot and Rebecca Foissin. He had two brothers and a sister, named Peter, Samuel and Sarah Jane. He was the youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 63 on September 19th, 1849 in Georgetown, South Carolina.1 General Notes
