Simon was Lt in the NC Dr agoon Regiment under Co James Thaxton and under
Col Dudley's NC regiment. in 1836 he applied for a Rev pension and was
granted under file @@32008 (Ibid)
He enlisted in Revolutionary army from Chatham Co., NC

He was allowed pension on his application executed 4-6-1836, while
residin g in Franklin Co., GA, where he stated he had lived for the past
40 years. Pr ior to that time , he had lived in Pendleton District, SC.
The provisions of the pension were @@29016 per year beginning the 4th of
March 1831. A final p ayment of $14.58 was paid on the 12th of September
1837. Simon's Attorney was William Morel.
