John Clifton was born on January 29th, 1893 in Gatesville, Coryell County, Texas.  He died at the age of 76 on April 23rd, 1969 in Tarpley, Bandera County, Texas.  He was buried in Tarpley Cemetery, Bandera County, Texas.
