Joel YANCEY 
Joel was born on October 21st, 1773 in Albemarle Co., Va. Joel's father was Jeremiah YANCEY and his mother was Margaret MULLINS. His paternal grandparents were Robert YANCEY and Temperance DUMAS; his maternal grandparents were Mathew MULLINS and Mary MAUPIN. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Robert, Charles, Jechonias, Mary and Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 65 on August 20th, 1839 in Barren Co., Ky.General Notes
