Rebecca Jane was born in 1821 in , Lincoln, NC. Rebecca Jane's father was William Stacy and her mother was Sarah HANES. Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin Stacy and Elizabeth Browder; her maternal grandparents are Daniel HANES and Sarah UNKNOWN. She had eight brothers and five sisters, named Pap, John J, Benedict D., James F, Abraham Harvey, William Edwin, Joseph Marion, Aaron, Mary H, Sussanah C, Frances, Sarah Adaline and Elisabeth N. She was the sixth oldest of the fourteen children. She died at the age of 35 in 1856 in Cannon, TN.-
