Anyway,our common ancestor seems to be Joanna Letitia Lawson. My
line
descends from Joanna and Lancelott Sockwell through Lancelott II and
Lancelot III. Another Souther line descends from one of the other
brothers (William or John). I don't know which one at this time.
This
is work that was done by Bertha Sockwell Blackwood (1902-1974). I
haven't seen the entire line. I received a copyof our line through a
cousin.

‌Lancelot and Joanna Sockwell were married in a religious ceremony about 1660 in Lancaster, VA. They had three sons and a daughter, named Lancelot, William, John and Sarah Elizabeth.
