Susan Catherine James 
Susan Catherine was born on April 25th, 1871 in Albemarle, Virginia. She had two brothers named William Edward and Lemuel Hiram. She was the youngest of the three children. She died at the age of 28 on February 11th, 1900 in Albemarle, Virginia. She was buried in Sandridge Cem., Sugar Hollow, Albemarle, Virginia.
‌Susan Catherine and Edward "Ed" Pleasant were married in a religious ceremony on February 14th, 1889 in White Hall, Albemarle, Virginia. They had three sons and a daughter, named Levi Pleasants, Melvin Napoleon, Ernest H. and Annie Lee.
