James Jackson was born in October 1863 in Chattahoochee Co GA. James Jackson's father was James Thomas Gordy and his mother was Harriet Emily Helms. His paternal grandparents were Wilson Gordy and Mary Jane SCOTT; his maternal grandparents were Pamly Uriah Helms and Elizabeth Fisher. He was an only child. He died at the age of 85 in 1948 in Plains, Sumter Co GA.-
