Stephen Floyd was born on November 1st, 1856. Stephen Floyd's father was William Harrison Epperson and his mother was Mary M. Dulaney. His paternal grandparents were Stephen T. Epperson and Elizabeth (Polly) Wolfe. He had three brothers and nine sisters, named John W., Isaac S., Joseph H.
