Obituary...Mrs Epperson, rites will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday at theMcallister-Julian Funeral home, 304 North 5th St. for Mrs. DemarcyEpperson, 78, 1117 Chestnut St. who died at 4p.m. Sunday at a localhospital after a three-week illness. The Rev. B.P. Nielsen willofficiates, and burial will be in Willwood Burial Park. Mrs. Eppersonfractured her hip in a fall at her home on Dec. 15. Widow of MartinEpperson, she was born Feb. 1, 1861, in Sulphur Springs, Benton County,Arkansas. and came to Rockford in 1927. She was a member of thePresbyterian Church.
Surviving are four children, Bessie Pretty, Lee, Dewey and BenEpperson; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all ofRockford; a brother, John Davis of Lanagan, Mo. and two sisters, LilaPearson of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Mollie Jennings of Lynwood,California.
