Thomas was born on December 23rd, 1833 in St. Marys, Nottingham, England and his baptism took place on December 30th, 1833.  He died at the age of 62 on October 19th, 1896 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah Territory (later State O.  He was buried on October 20th, 1896 in Salt Lake City Cemetery, Salt Lake City, S.l., Ut.
