Joel was born on March 22nd, 1777 in , Rutherford, Tn. He died at the age of 42 on August 19th, 1819.

Sarah was born on September 4th, 1803 in Murfreesboro, Rutherford, Tn. She died at the age of 87 on August 14th, 1891 in Nashville, Davidson Co, Tn.. She was buried in State Capitol.
