Richard Anderson 
Richard was born in 1618 in London, England.1 Richard's father was Richard Anderson and his mother is Elizabeth Hawkins. His paternal grandfather was John Bartlett Anderson; his maternal grandfather was William Hawkins. He had two brothers named John and Thomas. He was the youngest of the three children. He died after 1654 in Virginia.1 General Notes

Although some of the Robert Anderson family claims to be descended
from this man I have found no record of his descendants. He is likely
the father of the Richard who appears in the 1660's in the counties
immediately northwest of the York River. The records above may be his or
those of his son Richard. Nobody has written much about Richard Anderson
