risians. The city population was Saxon-Frisian. The Swartwout's are mentioned
n Groningen records on 1338. Gerhard Swartewolt appears as a witness to a sale
of land on Sept. 10, 1277. Bertran Swartwolt was a witness for a sale on Sept.
27,1297. Gerhard & Frederick Swartwolt, brothers, appear as witness to a sale
f land on August 13, 1308.
