"Richard Stucley, first mentioned in the Close Roll of July, 1388, as Richard Styuecle, of Huntingdonshire, was almost certainly the son of John and Agnes Styuecle, of Great and Little Stukely in that co. He was an Esquire to Richard II, settled with his wife at Mershton, nr. Chichester, Sussex, and was dec. by Nov. 1441."
