BIOGRAPHY: Lived in several towns in Iowa. Graduated from Marshalltown high school. Honor student. Attended Red Oak junior college andGrinnel College. Taught elementry school in Wisconsin but liked farming better. Helped his father get started near Ogema, WI. Later bought places in Iowa farming last near Westgate. Moved to California in 1954 and after buying and farming a small ranch near Durham qualified as an Engineering tech for the Division of Highways and worked in Advance Planning Design Inspection and surveying. Retired in 1972 after 16 years with District 3 in Marysville.

Francis DeWitt and Marion Irene were married in a religious ceremony on August 2nd, 1938.1
