Emigrated from Walslandt, and sailed from Amsterdam on the ship ST. JAN BAPTISTE May 9, 1661 arriving at New Amsterdam on August 6, 1661, with his wife and five children aged 9,7,6,2 1/2,
new born. 8-22-1661, petitioned Governor of Province to grant land on Staten Island. Billiou succeeded in pacifying Indians and he, with assistance of Gov. surveyor, laid out 1st Staten Island town at 'Old Town' near the preasent South Beach. He was a judicial officer of the first court est. 1-28-1664, delegate to Gen. Assem., Manhattan, 4010-1664, app. Lt of Militia 5-14-1669 and was elected Schout and Achepen (sheriff and magistrate) during the Dutch re-occupation.
‌Pierre and Francoise were married in a religious ceremony on April 6th, 1649 in Walloon Church Mannheim,Germany. They had four sons and four daughters, named Isaac, Jacob, Chretienne, Peter, Marie, Martha, Catherine and Francoise.
