Henry V "The Lion" Duke of Saxony & was born in 1129 in Ravensburg, Donau, Wurttemburg. He died at the age of 66 on August 6th, 1195 in Braunschweig, Brunswick, Germany.General Notes
Added to his possesions the counties of Mecklenburg and Luneburg, byconquest
from the Sclaves. He neglected his duty to Emperor Barbarossa and was
publicly proscribed in 1180. He was obliged to absent himself fromGermany for
three years and he repaired to England with his second consort Maud.
