BIOGRAPHY: Sir John served in the Scottish wars and fought against EdwardBruce in Ireland. Both he and his son were knighted along with PrinceEdward 22 May 1306. The elder John remained loyal to Edward II, but theson sided with Thomas of Lancaster.
