A birth certificate was not issued for Kathrine at the time she was born,
and her name was originally spelled Catherine".  When her mother applied
for Kathrine's birth certificate, Kathrine was old enough to decide how
she wanted her name to be spelled, so the spelling was changed to
"Kathrine".
Kathrine's father was a policeman in the Dallas Police Department,
and was killed in the line of duty when she was just four years old.  Her
mother worked to support them and never remarried.
Kathrine married Roy Allison after his first wife died, and she
helped to raise his daughter, Betty.  She gave birth to Roy Lynn, who (as
stated above) was killed in an auto accident.
Kathrine worked for the U. S. government for over 30 years.  She
worked the first few years for a couple of military agencies, then went
on to work for the Dept. of Agriculture for over 20 years.  After she
started work for this department, she was sent to a school to learn
personnel work, and she worked in personnel from then on.  The last few
years of her government work before retiring was with the Dept. of Labor.
